Professional contacts and first introductions

We may contact a person at a UK architectural practice or other relevant corporate business to introduce our AutoCAD, Revit and technical drawing support. We record a published professional name, role, practice, business email address, relevant business context such as a vacancy, the public source and its URL, and our contact or opt-out history. We find this information on practice or company websites, published vacancy pages and professional directories; we may check Companies House to establish corporate status. We do not use a private email address for this outreach.

Our lawful basis for using named professional details is our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses likely to need drawing capacity. We assess relevance, necessity and the person's reasonable expectations before outreach. We send unsolicited business marketing emails only where the recipient is a corporate subscriber under applicable electronic marketing rules, and we identify ourselves and offer an easy opt-out. Different rules apply to sole traders and some partnerships.

You can object to direct marketing at any time, without giving a reason. Reply to our email or write to enquire@lawsongill.co.uk and we will stop marketing to you. We keep a minimal suppression record so that we do not contact you again. If we contacted you using public information, you can also ask for the specific source we used.

Enquiries and project work

If you email or call us, we use the contact details and project information you provide to respond, discuss a brief, prepare a quote and, where relevant, deliver an agreed service. The CAD and Revit brief form on this site prepares an email in your own email app; its contents are not stored by this website. Our lawful basis is taking steps you request before a contract, performing a contract, or our legitimate interest in managing an enquiry, as appropriate.

Website and cookies

We use necessary website and server information to deliver and protect the site. With your consent, Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_* cookies to measure visits, devices and browsers, referral sources and interactions with pages, projects and contact links. Our custom analytics events do not send enquiry text, names, email addresses or company details. Optional analytics starts only if you choose “Accept analytics”; these analytics cookies are set to expire after 180 days. We save your choice on your device for 180 days.

You can reject analytics or change your choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Rejecting after acceptance stops future analytics and removes this site's analytics cookies; it cannot erase information already processed. Google may process analytics information outside the UK. Sharing, transfers and retention

We use service providers for email, website hosting and analytics. They process information on our behalf where relevant; we may also disclose it if legally required. Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we use an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate UK transfer safeguards, and you can ask us for details.

If a professional contact does not respond or become a client, we review the lead and delete their contact details within 12 months of the first introduction. We keep correspondence with an engaged prospect or client while needed for the relationship and any legal obligations, reviewing it periodically. A minimal opt-out record is kept for as long as needed to honour the objection.

Your rights and complaints

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, or to restrict its use. You may also have data portability rights.
